Genk striker Ally Samatta is set to join Aston Villa in an £8.5million deal.
The forward scored against Liverpool in the Champions League this season.
Samatta has scored 76 goals in 191 games for the Belgian side during his time at the Luminus Arena.
He has also bagged 20 times for Tanzania, in 56 matches, and had been linked with a switch to Crystal Palace – before the Eagles completed the loan signing of Cenk Tosun.
The 27 year-old will be tasked with leading the attack for Dean Smith’s relegation-threatened side, following the injury that ended £22million summer signing Wesley’s campaign.
The Brazilian suffered a cruciate knee injury in the game against Burnley on New Year’s Day.
