Arsenal have not given up hope of landing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng this January, according to reports.
Mikel Arteta was warned he’d have little money to spend in January following the club’s £140million summer splurge.
But the Gunners reportedly opened talks with German giants Bayern Munich over the possibility of signing centre-back Boateng.
Arsenal are also looking at RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano as a possible alternative, but are likely to get priced out of both transfers this month.
Arteta isn’t giving up on bringing in some reinforcements just yet, though.
