Manchester City have reportedly beaten Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to the signing of Barcelona wonderkid Juan Larios.
Larios, has been tipped for big things after emerging from Barcelona’s academy but decided his future lies elsewhere with Jordi Alba blocking his first team path.
According to Daily Record, he has now agreed a deal to move to the Etihad and link up with Pep Guardiola under EU freedom of movement laws as soon as he turns 16 next month.
He is said to have turned down offers from Liverpool, Arsenal and United, who refused to match the offer made by City when given the chance.
They claim the two Manchester clubs were the last clubs remaining in the battle for his signature with City winning the race, whilst Liverpool were excluded by his representatives over concerns over their handling of another young player his agency work with.
