Gareth Bale will not force through a Real Madrid exit in January – but his agent has claimed that the winger “is not ecstatic” to be playing for the Spanish giants.
The Welsh superstar has struggled to win over the Madrid supporters despite helping the Bernabeu club to four Champions League triumphs in six years.
He angered the Madrid faithful last month when he was pictured celebrating with a flag that said ‘Wales, golf, Madrid – in that order’ following Wales’ qualification for Euro 2020.
That led to renewed speculation surrounding his future, with Bale almost joining Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning in the summer before Madrid pulled the plug at the last minute.
And the player’s agent Jonathan Barnett has insisted that Bale is no rush to move on to pastures new when the transfer window reopens next month.
