Oxlade-Chamberlain Admits Salah Never Passes As He Makes Fun Of Liverpool Forward’s Feud With Mane

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reckons Sadio Mane is not the only team-mate Mo Salah won’t pass to – he will not set up any of them, even in training.

The former Arsenal midfielder made fun of the row between the Egyptian and Mane by joking that he seldom passes.

A spat erupted during the Reds’ win over Burnley when Mane came off the pitch gesticulating that Salah had opportunities to give him an easy goal but chose to shoot – and miss.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was asked to fill in a sentence in an interview for today’s Football Focus programme on BBC1 which read: “Mohamed Salah is not selfish because…”

But the England international said: “Isn’t selfish? Are you winding me up? The guy doesn’t pass to us. Are you mad? Ask Sadio.

“We can’t expect him to pass us the ball all the time and him to score loads of goals. The way he plays wins us games, so he’s got to do what he’s got to do.

“He scores, we win the game. I’m happy. Mo, do what you want!”

The Ox, 24, also gave an insight into Reds boss Jurgen Klopp’s “nutty” personality.

He said: “Jurgen Klopp is what you see on the TV screen. Passionate, funny, charismatic and a good coach.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain signed a new four-year deal at Anfield  in August.

He joined Liverpool in a £35million deal from Arsenal in 2017.

The player was out injured for much of last term but returned this season and was recalled to the England team by boss Gareth Southgate.
