Liverpool want to tie down Sadio Mane to another new contract to ward off Real Madrid interest, according to reports.
The 27-year-old only signed a new £150,000-a-week deal until the summer of 2023 last November.
But another stunning start to the season will see the Reds negotiate a deal to improve his pay packet.
On the back of 22 league goals last season, Mane already has four in four to cement his reputation as one of the most lethal forwards in the league.
Journalist Nicolo Schira claims that Jurgen Klopp’s side believe he is worth more than his current wage and are preparing a deal worth a whopping £220,000-a-week.
Mane could become the club’s highest earner, eclipsing the £200,000 wage picked up by Mohamed Salah.
It means he will also extend his stay at Anfield for another five-and-a-half years until the summer of 2025.
Real Madrid were linked with Mane in the summer and their interest is not likely to go away anytime soon.
Reports claimed that boss Zinedine Zidane even made contact with the player over the summer as he looked bolster his squad.
But Real instead signed wide men Eden Hazard and Rodrygo in a huge sending spree.
