Troost-Ekong Will Lead Super Eagles Against Shevchenko’s Ukraine

William Troost-Ekong will captain the Super Eagles in Tuesday’s International friendly against Ukraine in Kyiv.

The Skipper Ahmed Musa has been ruled out of Nigeria’s international friendly game against Ukraine on Tuesday due to injury. 

Ekong is next in line to the former CSKA Moscow forward in pecking order and has captained Nigeria a couple of times in the past.

Stoke City Midfielder Etebo Oghenekaro will deputize and will be next in line to wear the Captain’s armband.

Nigeria will play Ukraine on Tuesday at the Dnipro Arena in Kyiv, it will be the first time the two teams face off at senior level.
