Barcelona have reportedly ended their pursuit of Neymar after they were unable to agree a deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sky Sports News, the transfer failed to materialise because the Ligue 1 club were unwilling to lower their valuation of the player, despite suggestions that Neymar had offered to pay £17.7m to secure a return to the Nou Camp.
Although his desire to leave the Parc des Princes is well-known, it is also claimed that the forward has now agreed to stay in the French capital after accepting that a move appears to be off the cards.
It is understood that he intends to honour the remainder of his PSG contract once he returns from the international break.
However, ESPN claim that Barcelona have not completely dropped their interest in a reunion with the forward and could attempt to restart negotiations next summer.
