Serie A side Sassuolo are hoping to complete a move for Chelsea flop Kenedy on a season-long loan before the end of the European transfer window, according to Sky Sports Italia.
The Italian club are in need of reinforcements at left-back after Rogerio suffered an injury and have turned to the Brazilian.
Kenedy, who returned to Chelsea this summer after an 18-month loan at Newcastle, has not played under new boss Frank Lampard and is allowed to leave the club.
The versatile 23-year-old, who can occupy any position on the left flank, joined Chelsea for £7million from Fluminense in 2015.
He has made 27 appearances and scored three goals in that time, but has struggled for regular playing time and had a loan spell with Watford in the first half of the 2016-17 season but played only one game.
His season-and-a-half at Newcastle then produced three goals in 41 games before returning to west London.
While he was named on the bench for the opening day loss at Manchester United and subsequent Super Cup defeat by Liverpool, Kenedy is yet to make a competitive appearance under Lampard.
