Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Provides Alexis Sanchez Transfer Update As Man Utd Look To Offload Flop

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident Manchester United  can offload Alexis Sanchez before the European transfer window closes.

The Chilean has flopped since making the move from Arsenal  in 2018, but the Red Devils have so far struggled to get anyone to take on his huge £500,000-per-week wages.

Sanchez has managed just three goals in 32 appearances at Old Trafford and has failed to feature this term as he continues to struggle for fitness.

Inter Milan are keen on bringing him to Serie A to hook up with former United team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who made the switch earlier this summer.

And Solskjaer is confident of getting the 30-year-old off the wage bill before the European transfer window slams shut.

“There are still talks with some clubs,” said Solskjaer.

“He’s working hard and let’s see in September what’s going to happen.”

The out-of-favour forward made a last-minute trip to London on Thursday to sort out issues over his visa ahead of Chile’s international friendlies in the USA next month.

It is understood Sanchez was given permission to skip the session by senior United officials and he soon arrived back in Manchester.

The Chilean was seen arriving back at Wilmslow Train Station in Cheshire on Thursday night.
