Cristiano Ronaldo had a bone to pick with Maurizio Sarri when the superstar forward was taken off during Juventus’ defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
The newly-installed Bianconeri boss chose to replace Ronaldo just moments after he had scored.
Walking off the pitch, the player shook hands with one member of the Juve backroom team before greeting Sarri on the touchline.
The Italian coach offered a comment to Ronaldo and it appears he received a spiky response.
After the winger gave Sarri a piece of his mind, he walked off.
Left behind was his boss, who continued to talk for a moment before shrugging and turning back to the game.
Exactly what Ronaldo’s gripe was is hard to tell.
The substitution came just a minute after his equalising goal, a deflected effort that made it 2-1 to Juventus.
Spurs would go on to win the Singapore friendly, thanks to Harry Kane’s spectacular lob from the halfway line.
Stealing the headlines with his long-range effort, Kane’s goal also completed another comeback against a European giant.
Spurs had led through Erik Lamela before Juve’s quickfire double through Gonzalo Higuain and Ronaldo.
In the final ten minutes, Lucas Moura levelled thanks to an incisive through ball by Tanguy Ndombele.
The moment came just a minute after the French midfielder, Tottenham’s record signing, had come off the bench.
