AC Milan are considering a move for Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly, according to reports.
The Serie A giants are looking for a new defender and initially inquired about Dejan Lovren.
But according to Tuttosport, San Siro chiefs were put off by Liverpool’s £18million valuation of the Croat.
The Anfield ace’s £4.5m-a-year wages are also believed to be out of the Italian club’s range.
And Milan have now reportedly turned their attention to United centre-back Bailly, 25.
The club are hoping the Ivorian could be a cheaper alternative considering he has just one year left on his contract.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he will have to trim his squad once he lands Harry Maguire from Leicester.
Bailly has failed to live up to the hype following his £34m move from Villarreal in 2016.
He made just 18 appearances for the Red Devils last season – only five under Solskjaer.
