PSG sporting director Leonardo has admitted that he cannot promise Kylian Mbappe will be at the club long-term.
The French forward has become one of the hottest talents in Europe following his dazzling displays for club and country.
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old, who claimed recently he felt he had reached a “turning point” in his career.
Now Leonardo has heightened speculation further, by revealing he does not know if Mbappe will stay at the Parc des Princes beyond his current contract.
When asked by Le Parisien whether Mbappe should extend his current deal, Leonardo said: “I never make promises. For two reasons: the first is that I am not the person who does everything at this club; the second, I do not want to pluck promises out of thin air, without being certain I can keep to them.”
