Antoine Griezmann will reportedly refuse to show up for Atletico Madrid training this week.
Spanish newspaper AS claims the Frenchman is “emotionally distressed” after being tipped for a big-money move to Barcelona.
Griezmann recently announced his intention to ditch Diego Simeone’s side after his release clause dropped to around £110million.
And La Liga champions Barcelona have made it clear they would like to bring the World Cup winner to the Nou Camp this summer.
However, Atletico are playing hardball over Griezmann.
They expect Griezmann to turn up for training this week, but they may find themselves starting without him.
Atletico have lost a number of players already this summer, with Rodri joining Premier League champs Manchester City.
Diego Godin quit on a free transfer to join Inter Milan, while Filipe Luis, Lucas Hernandez and Juanfran have also departed.
Atleti have since made Alvaro Morata’s Chelsea loan move permanent, while also snapping up Porto duo Felipe and Hector Herrera.
