Napoli are trying to work out a deal with Real Madrid for James Rodriguez.
Los Blancos are desperate to sell the Colombian, after Bayern Munich passed on turning his loan deal permanent.
Now the club’s owner, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has been speaking and said:
“I’m not going to sign [Mauro] Icardi, but we’ll see about [Hirving] Lozano and James.”
Icardi, at his price tag from Inter, was never going to happen.
Lozano continues to be linked with both the Partenopei and Manchester United – although the latter’s interest seems to be as a last resort kind of thing.
Rodriguez is a player Madrid will want in excess of £50million for – they have to pay for Paul Pogba somehow.
But can Napoli offer some kind of payment plan? That could work for both.
