Man Utd Given Huge Boost As Five Key Men Return From Injury For Watford Clash

The good news just keeps on coming for Manchester United  fans at the moment.

Not only has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer been confirmed at the club’s new manager, but Marcus Rashford looks set to put pen to paper soon as well.

The positive developments don’t stop there as the club were given a massive injury boost ahead of the weekend game with Watford.

It was feared an injury crisis had set in but they have now named five players who were big doubts in their squad to take on the Hornets.

England striker Rashford has handed the Reds a big tonic a week after he was forced to withdraw from the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 qualifiers with a knee injury.

That cast doubt over his participation on Saturday but he looks set to feature now – and so could Romelu Lukaku, despite the striker also withdrawing from Belgium’s double header.

Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic are also in the provisional squad and could win their fitness battles.

Solskjaer is desperate for a first victory in his opening game as the club’s full-time manager.

Watford manager Javi Gracia says people shouldn’t be surprised by the impact he has had since replacing Jose Mourinho in December.

“It is not a surprise how well Solskjaer has done – he is doing really well changing the team,” he said ahead of the weekend game.

“He is getting good results with a good squad. They have a very good squad but to win and to be on the up is not easy for anybody. And in this case he has done a very good job.”

Rashford is ready to sign his new Manchester United contract now Solskjaer is in charge full-time.

The England striker was waiting to discover who would be at the helm before committing his future.

But it appears the 21-year-old has heard enough and is now desperate to sign up after the decision was made to keep the Norwegian at Old Trafford.
