Real Madrid have sent a warning to Thibaut Courtois amidst his terrible run of form, according to reports in Spain.
Courtois, 26, left Chelsea for Los Blancos last summer in a £38million deal but has failed to replicate his form back in Spain.
The Belgian No1 spent three years at Real’s cross-city rivals Atletico, with eyebrows raised over his move to the Bernabeu.
Julen Lopetegui was the man to officially bring Courtois to Madrid, after he replaced Zinedine Zidane in the summer.
However, Zidane is famously a big fan of Keylor Navas from his first spell in the Spanish capital.
And now, the French boss is said to have sent Courtois a warning over his worryingly poor form.
In the same spell, Los Blancos have lost eight time and won only 16 – a far cry from their usual dominant form.
They already sit a whopping 12 points adrift of rivals Barcelona in the Spanish top-flight and have all-but given up on the title.
The shocking form has already cost two managers their jobs, but now it would appear Courtois is copping the flak after Real chiefs went full-circle in reappointing Zidane.
