A trio of Manchester United stars did their best to put Sunday’s defeat to Arsenal behind them as they enjoyed lunch together on Monday afternoon.
Goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw the Gunners run out 2-0 winners at the Emirates, taking the Red Devils’ place in the Premier Leaguetop four in the process.
And Spaniards David de Gea, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera got the chance to digest the disappointing result as they dined together at Cibo Restaurant in Hale.
The players, who were joined by goalkeeping coach Emilio Alvarez, looked in relatively good spirits as they spent the best part of three hours in the Italian eatery.
De Gea was the only member of the trio who took part in the game in London with Herrera and Mata both currently out of action due to injury.
His side performed well in parts against Unai Emery’s men but were made to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal, Aubameyang’s penalty sealing their fate.
The loss, interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first in the Premier League, leaves the club two points outside the Champions League places with eight games left to play.
