Manchester United’s players were met with a huge crowd of fans as they arrived at the station to take their train to London.

United were travelling down on Sunday afternoon ahead of their Monday evening clash with Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford were among the star attractions for United supporters, who gathered in numbers for selfies and autographs.

Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was also popular, stopped a number of times by fans young and old for a picture and a brief chat.

Sanchez also remained popular despite his poor form this season, which the Chilean himself admits must improve if he is to have a long term future at Old Trafford.

‘I think a player like me has to show it right now. There is no time to lose, nothing,’ said Sanchez, who has started just 18 league games for United since joining from Arsenal at the start of last year.

‘It worries me. I believe in what I am because it’s game over for a footballer who no longer believes in his ability but at the same time I’m hard on myself too.’

Also among the players seen arriving was young, big-haired midfielder Tahith Chong, well regarded in the United youth teams and in line for a possible first senior start at Stamford Bridge.

Chong, who has scored five goals in 14 Premier League 2 games this season from the right wing, played 28 minutes in the third round victory over Reading.

However Solskjaer may instead pick a close to first team starting line-up against Chelsea, with the FA Cup representing United’s best shot at silverware this season.
