Jose Mourinho ‘Plots Return To Former Club’ As He Targets Managerial Return

Jose Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in December.

But reports in Italy suggest he has decided on his next move as he targets a return to the dugout.

According to newspaper Libero,  the Portuguese boss is already plotting a return to former club Inter Milan at the end of the season.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is understood to have initiated contact with club bosses as he tries to manoeuvre a way to get his client the job he wants.

Reports in Italy suggest that Luciano Spalletti has lost the dressing room at the San Siro after their title bid faded away.

He is now facing a fight to secure Champions League football next season and could face the sack if they miss out, leading to Mendes and Mourinho making their move.

Mourinho won back to back Serie A titles with the club between 2008 and 2010 and delivered a Champions League title before departing for Real Madrid.

He is said to be intrigued by the challenge of returning to Italy and trying to overhaul the dominance of Juventus,  led by his former player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mendes is now set to work hard behind the scenes to try and make it happen and ensure Mourinho is back in management at a top European club sooner rather than later.
