Paul Pogba and Mohamed Salah might be the leading stars at England’s two biggest clubs but their fierce rivalry was put to one side on Thursday.
The Manchester United and Liverpool men found themselves together at a shoot for adidas and Pogba shared a picture of them together on Twitter.
‘Plotting with the King of Egypt,’ Pogba wrote alongside the image.
Salah was with the France international after Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The point extended Liverpool’s lead atop the Premier League table to five points but failure to secure victory to go seven points clear meant it was very much an opportunity missed for Salah and his team-mates.
Pogba, meanwhile, has been enjoying a resurgence in form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as United manager.
He scored his sixth goal in eight games under the Norwegian in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Burnley at Old Trafford.
While a point at home to the struggling Clarets go down as two dropped, United salvaged a point with two goals in the final three minutes.
Pogba sparked the comeback with a goal from the penalty spot before Victor Lindelof hauled United onto level terms.
