Arsenal still believe they can seal a deal for Denis Suarez, according to reports.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen to link up with the 25-year-old Barcelona playmaker, who he coached at Sevilla.
Barca are adamant that Suarez is only available on a permanent deal in January, with Arsenal only able to offer a loan.
But the Mirror claims Emery is still hopeful of getting a move over the line despite having little money to work with.
Emery confirmed last week that the North London club have no money to spend on transfers this month.
But Suarez’s agent has reportedly stepped in to try and push through the Barcelona benchwarmer’s switch.
The one-cap Spanish international, who spent two years at Manchester City, would arrive to the Emirates as Aaron Ramsey’s long-term successor.
Rambo is set to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.
