Paul Pogba’s brother has lifted the lid on the World Cup winner’s disastrous relationship with Jose Mourinho.
Footballer Mathias has slammed the sacked Manchester United manager for his treatment of the midfielder.
The 28-year-old, who played in the English game for Wrexham and Crewe Alexandra, told French radio that he tore the Old Trafford changing room apart.
“It was Mourinho that was the problem,” the United star’s elder brother said.
“From what we see of Mourinho, he always wants to be the maestro, the centre of attention.
“Paul does not even calculate that aspect. You respect him, he will respect you. You trust him, he will make you big matches.
“The problem was Mourinho, right down the line. In the locker room, outside the locker room – everything.”
Paul Pogba has remained tight-lipped since United fired the Portuguese on December 18.
He did though share a cryptic tweet that asked users to caption an image of him with a wry smile within an hour of Mourinho’s departure.
He deleted the tweet sooon after – but that didn’t stop him coming in for stick from United legend Gary Neville.
The Sky Sport pundit told Pogba he can “do one as well” but since the manager moved on his form has taken improved dramatically.
