Neymar closed the book on 2018 in style as he dressed up alongside Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo and professional surfer Gabriel Medina for a New Year’s Eve white party.
The 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star flew back home recently to spend the festive period with his family and see in the new year in his native Brazil.
It appeared the two footballers and the surfer welcomed 2019 in flamboyant fashion as the trio posed with 26 women at the Yacht Club in Rio for a photo which appeared on Instagram.
The party went on long into the night with hundreds of people joined together to watch a fireworks display before watching singer Thiaguinho perform.
Hundreds filled the luxury beachside venue for the evening’s party with palm trees illuminating the night sky.
Neymar is not due back into Paris until the end of the week and has been maximising his free time during the winter break.
The forward is set to miss PSG’s first game back in the French Cup round of 64 clash on Sunday against Stade Pontivy but could be in line to return for their league cup quarter-final against Guingamp on January 9.
While some team-mates and rivals continue to train and maintain their fitness for their new year return, the PSG ace is on the comeback from injury and has kept his programme largely relaxed.
The Brazilian has still been showing off his skills at popular game teqball as he continues to recover from an adductor injury.
He took on professional Footvolley stars Natalie and Bianca at teqball alongside professional poker player Andre Akkari.
Neymar was a natural and secured a few points for his team but Natalie and Bianca held a natural advantage, being used to this type of competition.
The duo are stars in Footvolley, which is a sport that combines aspects of beach volleyball and association football and was created in Brazil back in 1965.
It wasn’t clear who won the match but it certainly seemed competitive in the short video that was uploaded on to Natalie and Bianca’s Instagram account.
Neymar is expected to spend a few more days in Brazil before returning to the French capital for assessments on his injury.
He has been in impressive form for the French champions this season, scoring 16 goals and assisting eight in 19 games in all competitions.
