Manchester United target Jordi Alba has admitted he is frustrated at the lack of progress on his new contract.
The 29-year-old is tied down at Barcelona until 2020 but has made it clear he wants to spend the rest of his career with the club.
After the 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid, Alba revealed he is worried he may not have the chance.
Manchester United are understood to be monitoring the situation and Alba told reporters he had “no news” about the a deal.
He added: “I don’t know what the club think of me and it’s strange because there’s not much more of my contract left.
“My intentions are to finish my career here but we’ll see as I don’t know what their intentions are or when they think it will be convenient to call me.”
Diego Costa had put Atletico into the lead in the clash between the second and third-placed teams in La Liga.
Alba took a shot at Diego Simeone’s defensive style – insisting Atletico have the players to attack but are held back by their coach.
“We tried to create much more than them,” he said. “But it wasn’t easy to get into the danger areas.
“We would’ve liked to win, but the match was a draw and that’s good in the end.”
Alba added: “They have players who can attack more.
“But Simeone’s style gives them a lot of success so they won’t change.”
