Cristiano Ronaldo Attends ATP Tour Finals After Juventus’ Win Over AC Milan

Cristiano Ronaldo took time off form his busy schedule to attend the ATP Tour Finals at The O2 in London with partner Georgina Rodriguez and son Cristiano Jr.

The Juventus forward was fresh off scoring in the Bianconer’s 2-0 win over AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday.

He even had time to stretch out and take a catch as the ball came towards him in his front-row seats, but he earlier dropped a ball which harmlessly brushed Rodriguez on the head as it bounced up off the floor.

Ronaldo was watching Serbian legend Novak Djokovic take on big-serving American John Isner.

Djokovic came through the match in straight sets, seeing off his opponent 6-4, 6-3 to start his campaign with a win.

Gonzalo Higuain, on loan from the Old Lady, missed a penalty for the hosts at the San Siro, and Juve keeper Wojciech Szczesny revealed Ronaldo gave him some advice prior to the spot kick.

“We know each other well. I know that Higuain tends to take his penalties hard and low, so I was fortunate that it went well,” Szczesny told Sky Sport Italia.

Ronaldo told me to go early, because Pipita [Higuain] tends to take powerful penalties, but then I already knew that…

“We scored early, lowered the tempo and controlled the game, which is what we wanted to do.”

Higuain was later shown a red card, but Ronaldo insists he hopes the forward is not severely punished after arguing his booking, leading to his dismissal.

“I told him to calm down, as he risked an even heavier ban,” Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia.

“He didn’t do much, he was irritable at losing the game, that’s understandable and I hope he is not punished too severely.”

Djokovic is the favourite to win the ATP Tour Finals ahead of Sunday’s final.
