Anthony Martial is a world-class player who should be in the World Cup winning France squad.
Manchester United team-mate Ashley Young has seen enough of the winger to understand the talent at his disposal and rates him at the very top of world football.
Martial is likely to keep his place in Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Juventus after netting three times in his last two games.
It has been the Frenchman’s attitude that has often been questioned in Manchester but Young says he has the talent to overcome any off-pitch problems.
Young said: “He is fantastic. He is a world class player.
“To be honest, I do not know why he is not in the French squad.
“That is down to the national manager but I see him day-in, day-out.
“He is some talent. He is unbelievable.”
Martial was criticised by Mourinho during the summer — and hit with a fine of two weeks’ wages — for going AWOL after leaving the pre-season tour of the United States to attend the birth of his son, Swan.
An impressive start to this season has taken him to 40 goals in 145 games and he looks in the mood to add to that.
