Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy all took part in Manchester City training on Monday as a reduced squad began preparations for the visit of Burnley.
The star trio were joined by the likes of Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho for the session at the Manchester City Football Academy.
Guardiola was also boosted by Fabian Delph’s return from injury. Previously rated a doubt for Saturday’s game, the versatile former Aston Villa man managed to play a full role alongside his team-mates.
De Bruyne, meanwhile, could make his long awaited return from a knee injury sustained in August against the Clarets, while Aguero has been battling an ankle knock.
Shorn of a host of internationals including England’s Raheem Sterling, the group could be seen taking part in a series of passing drills and sharing the occasional joke.
And with so many players still away with their respective nations, youngsters Phillipe Sandler and Brahim Diaz were afforded the opportunity to train with the City first-team.
Centre-back Sandler was summer arrival from PEC Zwolle in his native Holland and is yet to make his bow for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Fellow starlet Diaz showed off his dribbling ability during another exercise. Both will hope to be part of the matchday squad against Burnley.
Champions City will look to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they face Sean Dyche’s side on Saturday.
