Hoffenheim are attempting to take English teen ace Reiss Nelson on loan — after he signs a new Arsenal contract.
He is set to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates after impressing Unai Emery.
And now a loan move is on the cards to continue the youngster’s development, with a stint at the Bundesliga side.
The Bundesliga club are so confident of landing him, they even tagged @ReissNelson in on the tweet on the club’s official Twitter account.
Germany’s prodigious young coach Julian Nagelsmann said: “We’ve taken an interest in Reiss Nelson, I can disclose that.
“But nothing is set in stone as there are still things to clear up.
“If it all works out, we’ll have a player with great pace who can do a lot with the ball.”
Nelson played in three Premier League games last year for Arsenal’s first-team, as well as eight Europa League clashes as the Gunners reached the semi-finals.
He was also used by Wenger in the Carabao and FA Cups and is seen as one of the club’s future home-grown stars.
