Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba appeared to put their troubles to one side as they arrived at training on Wednesday all smiles.
There is growing unease between the two after comments from both sides, as well as agent Mino Raiola and club legend Paul Scholes chipping in.
The win at Leicester with Pogba captaining the side looked to have smoothed over a turbulent summer.
But the 3-2 loss to Brighton has put the spotlight back on the 55-year-old Portuguese’s position and his relationship with the squad.
In the Roy Keane mould, Pogba pulled no punches when analysing the team’s performance against the Seagulls.
But he seemed to be over the disappointment as he cruised into Carrington with his beaming grin.
According to the Mail, Old Trafford bosses know there is a problem with Mourinho but trust executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to fix it.
Raiola also created an ugly distraction with a verbal attack on United legend Scholes.
All the off-field aggro was quelled when United beat Leicester on the opening day of their season.
But the shock defeat to Brighton has brought all the ugly concerns back to the surface.
Loudmouth super-agent Raiola took aim at Scholes after he criticised French World Cup winner Pogba.
