Anthony Nwakaeme has signed for Turkish side Trabzonspor on a two-year deal from Israel champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
The deal is reported to be worth around 1.2 Euros.
He will link up with his compatriot Ogenyi Onazi.
Nwakaeme was unveiled as Trabzonspor player on Monday.
President Hayrettin Hacısalihoğlu was positive that Nwakaeme will add a lot to offer Trabzonspor.
He said, “We believe that As Atatürk’s Mansion is the symbol of Trabzon, Anthony is also one of the symbols of Trabzon and will contribute to Trabzon. I wish it succeeds. I believe that the past is very bright and the successes in the past will repeat here. ”
Nwakaeme who missed out of the Super Eagles squad from the 2018 World Cup in Russia is expected to make his debut for Trabzonspor when they take on Ankaragucu on Saturday, August 25.
Nwakaeme stated that he aims to achieve so much which his new club side.
He said, “Trabzonspor thank you once again for giving me the chance to be here. I feel happy to be a part of this team here.
“I see that the team has the ambition to be successful, which makes me very motivated as an actor. And I am very happy to be here. “
He also stated that he is ready and available to play in any position required especially as a striker but can also play on the left wing.
