Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich.
The Nou Camp club have tied the experienced Chilean midfielder to a three-year deal. The agreement is pending a medical, which will be held over the next few days.
Barcelona will pay Bayern £27million for Vidal, who has won the Bundesliga in each of the last three seasons.
He will become the latest arrival at the Nou Camp this summer, with winger Malcom, midfielder Arthur and defender Clement Lenglet having already joined the club.
Vidal trained with his Bayern Munich team-mates on Thursday for the last time before making the move to the Spanish champions.
Barcelona are seeking to strengthen their squad considerably as they look to go all the way in the Champions League and Vidal, who has a century of caps for Chile, seems a perfect option to bolster their squad.
With Arthur arriving and Andres Iniesta having left, while Paulinho has gone on loan, it will be a new look midfield for Barcelona this season.
Vidal joined Bayern from Juventus in 2015 and has enjoyed much success with the German club, winning the German Cup alongside his Bundesliga titles.
There has been a considerable amount of speculation about Vidal’s future this summer, with Inter Milan having been heavily linked with a move, but he has decided to move to Barcelona.
