Maurizio Sarri is unhappy at Willian skipping Chelsea training.
The Brazilian delayed his return to the club’s Cobham training HQ after being given an extended holiday following Brazil’s World Cup campaign.
It is claimed Willian was unable to return last Friday – the date set by Sarri – because he didn’t renew his passport in time.
It comes after Chelsea rejected a third bid of over £55million for Willian – with Real Madrid also eyeing a £100m double swoop for him and Thibaut Courtois.
Sarri admitted he would speak with the 29-year-old playmaker before the weekend.
He said: “I want to speak to him. I am not happy about this situation but before I answer, I would like to speak to him.”
Asked if he found it strange, the Italian boss replied: “I think so.”
Sarri was speaking after the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal in Dublin – where they conceded a leveller with just 17 seconds left.
Petr Cech denied Alvaro Morata from the spot in the first half before Antonio Rudiger nodded Sarri’s side ahead.
Alexandre Lacazette’s strike sent the game to a shootout and Cech saved from Ruben Loftus-Cheek to grab Arsenal the victory.
FA Cup winners Chelsea now face Premier League champions Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday in the Community Shield.
