Wilfried Zaha has visited his dad in hospital… just a day after leaving Crystal Palace’s pre-season camp for a “family matter”.
The Ivorian winger, 25, yesterday left the Eagles squad in Sweden to rush home and today took to Instagram to share an update.
Zaha posted a touching picture with him by his dad’s side, complete with a massive heart emoji.
On Monday, Roy Hodgson confirmed his star man had left Sweden a few days early… missing their game with Halmstads.
Earlier in the day, the Palace chief moved quickly to deny Zaha would leave the club, despite intense speculation.
Hodgson claimed: “What people seem to forget with Wilf is he has got a four-year contract.
“There is speculation every year around Messi and Ronaldo too.
“He is our player for the next four years and the club has got no interest or desire to sell him.”
Already this summer, Zaha has been linked with £70million moves to the likes of Everton, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham.
Crystal Palace won their pre-season friendly with Halmstads on Monday 6-1 – with Patrick van Aanholt scoring twice in the rout.
