World Cup 2018: Entire France Squad Sing Unique Song As They Arrive For Red-Carpet Reception For World Cup Triumph

Unsurprisingly, N'Golo Kante seemed rather shy as he was lauded by Pogba and the rest of the squad

Paul Pogba led the tributes to France team-mate N’Golo Kante as the World Cup winners arrived for their red-carpet reception in Paris tonight.

The squad and management are the special guest of France president Emmanuel Macron following their 4-2 final win against Croatia.

The crowds turning up to welcome back the World champions joined Pogba and co in the N'Golo Kante chant

Paul Pogba took the microphone and decided to honour his France team-mate N'Golo Kante

But before they headed on inside Elysee Palace in the capital, there was time to honour the ‘shy’ man of the squad – Chelsea midfielder Kante.

Manchester United star Pogba took the microphone and, translated from French, sang: “Ohh N’Golo Kante, ohh N’Golo Kante.

“He is short, he is nice, he’s the one, who stopped Leo Messi, but we all know he’s a cheater at cards, N’Golo Kante!”

The lads clearly played a few rounds of Chase The Ace on the trip back from Russia.

And after he picked up a yellow card, Deschamps hauled him off after 55 minutes for N’Zonzi before Les Bleus went on to win 4-2.

It was later revealed he was suffering with a stomach bug.

The Chelsea man, who won league titles with Leicester and the Blues in consecutive seasons, is well known for being shy and reserved.

He was shown on France’s team bus on the way away from the stadium looking abashed as his team-mates sang hilarious songs in tribute to his ability.
