The Brazil squad cut a glum mood on Saturday as they made their way back from Russia after their disappointing exit from the World Cup.

Brazil were sent on their way after losing 2-1 to Belgium on Friday, as an own-goal from Fernandinho and a fierce strike from Kevin De Bruyne put the Red Devils in a commanding position.

And on Saturday afternoon, Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Thiago Silva, Willian and Co were pictured leaving their team hotel in Kazan.

Tite’s squad appeared in a very dejected spirit and were in no mood to smile as they made the trip to their airport ahead of the long flight back.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva was pictured covering his face with his hands, while Danilo was seen leaving on crutches after picking up an ankle injury.

Brazil came into the tournament in Russia as favourites but their campaign ended in underwhelming fashion.

After picking up seven points from the group stage and beating Mexico in the round of 16, they were eventually halted by Roberto Martinez’s impressive side.

Fernandinho put through his own net in the 13th minute before De Bruyne struck into the bottom corner from the edge of the area to give Belgium a 2-0 lead.

Renato Augusto gave Brazil a lifeline in the 76th minute with a brilliant header but Neymar and Co could not find another goal to take the game into extra-time.

The Belgians will come up against France in the semi-finals of the World Cup on Tuesday evening.
