Egypt fans were quick to voice their delight, thanking adidas for referring to their expectant population.

Salah, 26, has been training with his team-mates after being forced to miss the heartbreaking Uruguay defeat from the bench.

And his return against the hosts – who smashed Saudi Arabia in their opener – could be the boost his side need.

After losing their first match, Egypt need a win against the Russians in their 7pm kick-off before taking on Saudi Arabia in their final group match.

The Liverpool ace’s absence was keenly felt against Uruguay after his goalscoring exploits raised hopes he could be the hero.

Salah scored the crucial goal that sent his country to Russia and has an entire country’s hopes resting on him.

After he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, it was feared Salah’s tournament would be over.
