Gabon captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he will be supporting the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 28-year-old will not be at the World Cup after Gabon failed to qualify for the tournament.
Aubameyang joined Arsenal in January 2018 from Borussia Dortmund and he was impressive for the Gunners in the second half of the season.
Gabonese star says he is supporting the three time African champions due to his affiliation with his teammate Alex Iwobi. He also added that he is rooting for the Super Eagles jersey and cannot wait to have one of those jerseys.
Aubameyang twitted: “I support Nigeria for World Cup because of my friend Alex Iwobi but to tell the truth also because of your Nike football kit, need one!!!”
Aubameyang scored 10 goals in 13 matches for the Gunners since he joined them in January in a four year deal.
