Rohr Needs Moses, Musa, Iwobi Fit And Firing In Russia

Gernot Rohr has named his final 23-man Nigeria squad for the 2018 World Cup,dropping Ola Aina and Mikel Agu from the players that travelled to London to play England on Saturday.

Nigeria look like a team that will struggle in Russia.

Rohr needs Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa and Alex Iwobi fit and firing, without them at their best Nigeria will scare nobody in Russia, it’s that simple.

Dele Alli, who is of Nigerian descent, saw lots of the ball early on but was being constantly booed by the away supporters

This is Nigeria squad that lacks quality in some areas. However, if these trio can be at their best when Super Eagles get to Russia they could carry this group further than we may imagine. Without them at their best, Nigeria will scare nobody.

They need to perform, they’ve been underperforming for a long time.

Nigeria were defeated 2-1 in an international friendly with England played at Wembley on Saturday.
