Extraordinary Queues In London As Football Fans Go Nuts For Nigeria’s New Nike Kit Ahead Of England Match At Wembley

Nigeria’s new Nike kit went on sale and fans queued up all morning in London on Friday morning to get their hands on it before it sells out.

The kit has been a huge hit with fans for its retro look and received more than three million pre-orders according to the Nigerian Football Federation before it finally went on sale.

Nigeria will debut the in-demand kit in their friendly against England on Saturday evening at Wembley as they continue to prepare for the World Cup.

London is home to thousands of Nigerian ex-pats and people with Nigerian heritage, meaning the kit had no shorter of takes at Nike’s central London HQ.

Football kit collectors were also keen to get their hands on the funky shirts, as well as profiteers looking to make some quick cash.

Some of the shirts were available to buy on eBay by Friday afternoon, with bidding reaching £100 for one medium-sized shirt.
