Unai Emery appears to have confirmed his own appointment as Arsenal boss.
The Spaniard’s personal website tonight carried an image of him next to a Gunners club crest with the slogan: ‘proud to be part of the Arsenal family.’
The French and English homepage’s of Emery’s own site carried ‘404’ error messages when clicked on.
But using the links on his official Instagram and Twitter accounts routed users through to the image, with no other hyperlink on the page.
It was then taken down within minutes.
Emery is expected to be officially unveiled as Arsene Wenger’s successor this week.
And he is understood to have landed the job after wowing Gunners chiefs with an amazing presentation two weeks ago.
The 46-year-old had announced that he was leaving Paris Saint-Germain and pipped Mikel Arteta to the job with his forensic analysis on every Arsenal player.
He also made it clear he planned to build his vision of Arsenal around two key players he regards as central to his plans for the club — star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and midfield powerhouse Aaron Ramsey.
