Having brought the curtain down on his Barcelona career during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Real Sociedad, Iniesta showed off the fruits of his labour as he posed alongside his 32 club career trophies.
Twenty-two years of service for the Catalan giants has seen the Spaniard amass a wealth of silverware including nine La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
Iniesta is one of the most decorated stars in Barcelona’s history and he was reduced to tears during his parting speech to supporters after the Sociedad win as he looks to his next challenge.
Iniesta almost saw the final chapter of his Barcelona career end with an Invincibles team under the guidance of Ernesto Valverde – only to fall to a 5-4 defeat to Levante on May 13.
The 34-year-old joined Barca’s academy in 1996 and has not looked back since, amassing 674 appearances since his first-team debut in 2002.
He won his first title at the age of 20 – a La Liga win in a side that featured Ronaldinho and Deco – and he has hardly looked back since with a trophy collection befitting of the sport’s legend.
