Andres Iniesta Waves Goodbye To Barcelona With A Stunning Medal Collection

Barcelona star Andres Iniesta will play his final game for the club after a trophy-laden career

Barcelona have already suffered one big loss at the very end of this campaign after their unbeaten La Liga run perished in their penultimate game following a 5-4 loss at Levante.

They will suffer another, even if they defeat Real Sociedad on Saturday to complete a season where they wrestled the Spanish title off Real Madrid with relative ease.

The match will mark the final appearance of Andres Iniesta in a Barcelona shirt, the club he has been at since he was a boy, following the captain’s tearful announcement in April that he would depart the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

Iniesta is ranked as one of the great modern players - but is that reflected in his trophies?

Iniesta has won 22 major trophies in his career, leaving almost every other player in his wake

Iniesta has won a variety of honours in his time at Barca, but we are counting the major gongs

The 34-year-old joined Barca’s academy in 1996 and has not looked back since, amassing 674 appearances since his first-team debut in 2002.

From being a fresh faced kid featuring alongside the likes of Frank de Boer and Patrick Kluivert to the midfield stalwart helping Barca become a dominant force in Europe along with stars like Lionel Messi, Iniesta has seen it all during his 16 years in the first team.

By all, we mean trophies. The Spanish international has amassed quite a collection of winners’ medals over the years that the majority of teams would settle for in their entire existence.
