Zinedine Zidane has suggested Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are more than capable of playing together in the same side.
The Paris Saint-Germain ace is being linked with a summer switch to the Bernabeu, a rumour the Real Madrid boss was keen to play down.
Reports suggested this week that the Brazilian winger has his heart set on signing for Los Blancos, with the 26-year-old struggling to adapt to life in France.
But speaking in a press conference ahead of the La Liga clash with Celta Vigo, Zidane revealed he is unaware of any talks happening between Real and PSG.
He said: “I don’t know if they are negotiating for Neymar. I don’t believe so, as what we care about is what we are doing at the moment.
“I don’t get into that, it is for others. We must finish this season well, and the rest will be talked about afterwards. There will be changes for sure, but I am not thinking about that now.”
Zidane then went on to reject a claim that Neymar’s possible arrival would be bad for Ronaldo
, insisting the duo would get along fine together.
He added: “Good players are always compatible. People said I was not compatible with [Youri] Djorkaeff. What nonsense! Together we won the World Cup.
“On the pitch good players always get on, off the pitch I don’t know, but on the pitch there is always chemistry.”
Before injury cut short his season, Neymar netted 28 times in all competitions, as well as chalking up 19 assists.
PSG boss Unai Emery was asked about the ex-Santos star’s future with Les Parisiens by a Spanish journalist in his press conference today, where he passed the question on to sporting director Antero Henrique.
He said: “Ask Antero to give you an answer! I am not the person for this.
“You have come all the way from Spain to ask this question and for that I am sorry but I am not going to respond.”
