Manchester City's players lifted the Premier League trophy on Sunday afternoon

Pep Guardiola and his title-winning stars joined over 500 Manchester City staff for a mass celebration on Sunday night.

City captain Vincent Kompany lifted the Premier League trophy after their early kick-off against Huddersfield. The champions were still looking to break the record for goals scored and points gained in a single Premier League season but could only manage a 0-0 draw.

But that did not stop them from partying on Sunday evening.

The players enjoyed a huge bash later in the day with staff from all of City Football Group’s clubs descending on Manchester ahead of meetings next week.

City’s players mingled with staff during the party, staying long into the night while posing for pictures and taking part in games.

Defender Nicolas Otamendi took to Instagram to document the night’s events as the huge group made the most of the live music on offer.

He filmed himself and Sergio Aguero singing along and dancing to the music as the party rolled on.

Benjamin Mendy was his usual social media friendly self as he uploaded videos with Aguero and Aymeric Laporte and selfies with Gabriel Jesus.

Leroy Sane also took a photo with a friend while Bernardo Silva, Yaya Toure and Eliaquim Mangala posed for a photo together.

Manuel Estiarte, a member of Guardiola’s technical staff, also took to social media to share a video of the players on stage with the trophy, dancing as blue confetti poured down.

The match action was slightly underwhelming — with City stuttering to a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield — but that did not stop fans and players celebrating what has been a fine season domestically.
