Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has pushed the boat out for his 31st birthday, and marked the occasion with a huge Nutella birthday cake.

The Spanish playmaker took to social media to show off the giant piece of confectionery, while thanking fans for all their well wishing and messages.

Fabregas looks to have been having a great week, with his partner Daniella Semaan already lavishing him with gifts and making a fuss of the midfielder online.

Semaan posted several sentimental pictures with the Chelsea midfielder on Friday before describing life with him as a ‘complete paradise’.

The glamorous 42-year-old said: ‘To one million more with you. Happy birthday to you Amor @cescf4bregas.

‘Life by your side is a complete paradise. Wishing you the world and the moon and the stars and everything your heart desires.

‘We are all so blessed to have you in our lives and all I know is that God loves me so much. See you in a bit love.’

Chelsea will be hoping Fabregas returns with a spring in his step this weekend as they prepare to host rivals Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are still within a faint shout of making the top four and a Champions League place this season, but know they must defeat Jurgen Klopp’s men to have a chance of doing so.

Poor mid-season form saw Chelsea drop down the table, currently sitting in fifth place on 66 points.

Liverpool occupy third place as things stand with 72 points, and could close the gap on Manchester United to two points should they triumph at the Bridge.
