Eric Bailly missed Manchester United’s end of season awards at a time when his Old Trafford future is in doubt.
The player claimed he was too ill to attend an event that the club normally insist everyone goes to unless they have good reasons.
Yet under 24 hours later, Bailly was at the training ground, messing about and dancing with Ander Herrera, who posted a video clip on Instagram yesterday.
Centre-back Bailly, 24, was not at the awards on Tuesday night having been left out of United’s squad completely for the last two games.
Bailly has not played since United’s stunning comeback at The Etihad to win the Manchester derby 3-2 back on April 7.
He was supposed to play in the next game at home to West Brom but claimed he was ill and was sent home by the club doctor.
Bailly found his place taken by Phil Jones for the following game, a 2-0 away win at Bournemouth.
Smalling and Jones then kept their places for the FA Cup semi-final win over Spurs and the victory over Arsenal on Sunday with Bailly not in either squad.
Bailly joined United from Villareal in the summer of 2016 for £30million.
