Simy Nwankwo Bags Brace In Crotone Win Over Sassuolo

Nigerian forward Simy Nwankwo scored twice as FC Crotone thrashed Sassuolo 4-1 in Serie A on Sunday.

The 25-year-old scored in the 15th minute and added the second after 73 minutes to seal Crotone’s victory. He has scored 7 League goals in 20 games for his club.

Marcello Trotta had opened the scoring just after 3 minutes to put the hosts ahead, Simy Nwankwo doubled his side lead and Trotta added his second of the night in the 30th minute. Domenico Berardi scored a consolation goal for Sassuolo from the penalty spot just before first half.

Nwankwo scored his second of the night in the 88th minute to rub salt in Sassuolo’s injury.

Crotone sit 15th in Serie A table.
