Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea chose Italy over his native Spain for a leisurely Friday lunch with his fiancee and friends

De Gea and his partner Edurne Almagro were spotted leaving La Famiglia Italian restaurant in Cheshire on Friday afternoon following a two and a half hour lunch with friends.

The Spanish keeper and his fiancee had dined with Manchester United’s goalkeeping coach Emilio Alvarez, with De Gea possibly discussing final points with the trainer before Sunday’s Premier League clash.

De Gea looked happy and relaxed ahead of United's Premier League clash with Arsenal

The weekend’s game will be much less relaxed than Friday’s lunch, as Manchester United and Arsenal resume their rivalry at Old Trafford.

United and De Gea will be out to earn three points to tighten their grip on second place, as well as spoil Arsene Wenger’s final game against the Red Devils as Arsemal manager.

De Gea seemed unfazed by the upcoming clash, smiling for the camera as he strolled past with Spanish singer and actress Edurne by his side.

De Gea will be eating out in the north-west for a while to come if his manager has anything to say about it, with Jose Mourinho telling his Friday press conference that there is ‘no chance’ the keeper will be sold this summer.

Real Madrid have renewed their long term interest in de Gea, following an error by their current No 1 Keylor Navas in the Champions League semi final.

However de Gea instead seems set to remain at Old Trafford, as United look to try and close the gap to Premier League champions and neighbours Manchester City.
