N'Golo Kante was another of the Blues stars in attendance at Tuesday night's grand opening

Chelsea stars were out in force at the opening of a new Mayfair restaurant in which team-mates David Luiz and Willian are partners.

Olivier Giroud, N’Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko were among the Blues stars present to show support for their friends’ new venture.

The new Italian eatery is called Babbo – ‘father’ in Italian – and is based in central London.

The pair were joined by Chelsea team-mates, including Olivier Giroud, for the launch night

There were some other famous footballing faces present at the launch, as the players put rivalries to one side off the pitch.

Watford’s Richarlison, West Ham’s Joao Mario, Southampton’s Cedric Soares and former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre all lent their support, while some of the owners’ team-mates sent a video message of support.

Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Gary Cahill and Kenedy were among the big names involved in that, with Hazard even cheekily asking for a free meal for himself and his family.

Fabregas admits that the pair have ‘dedicated a lot of time to this project’ in partnership with their agent, Kia Joorabchian.

Watford's Richarlison enjoys a Brazilian connection with the owners, so he too came down

Before the official, Luiz had celebrated his birthday there on Sunday night, while Kenedy had also come down from his loan spell at Newcastle to help out with the restaurant’s design.

The Brazilian is enjoying an impressive season at St James’ Park, helping his side to four victories in a row prior to Monday night’s defeat by Everton.

The Chelsea stars, meanwhile, also enjoyed a happy weekend, booking their place in the FA Cup final with a 2-0 win over Southampton.

West Ham loanee Joao Mario also lent his support at the brand new Mayfair eatery this week
